Meet Misty: An enamored student of all things birth and pregnancy since her first pregnancy in 2006, I have had the sacred and humbling experience of four natural births, each in a different setting (birth center, hospital, free home birth, and midwife attended home water birth). My journey has brought me through four unique sets of breastfeeding challenges with my children. I trained for 9 intense weeks as a community Birth Worker in the DC metro area while pregnant with my third child, but have opted not to attend births until my own children are a bit older. I have, however, dedicated myself to doing this sacred work through writing and teaching. Also a certified Reiki master, I am also committed to bringing together the elements of energy healing and balancing with healing, birthing, and nurturing families in our individual communities and across the world. I sincerely look forward to each day of this journey.
